It all began as a gift.

I painted my very first house portrait for my grandmother’s 86th birthday. She loved her home because it was hers, but mostly because it was a place where memories were made.

Your grandparents’ house, the place where you grew up, the very first place you called your own: there is no place like home. A custom house portrait is a thoughtful gift for housewarmings or weddings and a warm welcome from realtors to new homeowners.

  • Photograph it.

Each watercolor portrait is created using a reference photo. The higher the quality of the photo, the more detail I will be able reference and include in your portrait.

Be mindful of the lighting when taking reference photos as certain times of day can affect the shadows and color tones of your home.

  • Sketch it.

A preliminary drawing will be sent for your approval before starting the painting on paper. Each piece is completed on white, acid free, watercolor paper and cut to standard frame sizes.

Framing options are available. This can be quoted separately as it will affect shipping costs. If interested in framing, please include this in the request box below.

  • Paint it.

When the watercolor is complete, I will send a photograph to be viewed before shipping.

Please Note: Artwork can not be recreated or altered by the purchaser. If interested in any reproductions of any kind, scanning and editing must be done by the creator. The rights and ownership of the artwork belongs to the artist.

Make it simple.

For those who appreciate the beauty in simplicity, these pen and ink creations capture the essence of your home in a style that is both timeless and budget-friendly. The absence of watercolor allows the intricate lines and details to shine, standing as a testament to elegance without embellishments.
